The phone comes with 5.0 inches screen with 720 x 1280 pixels of resolution (294 ppi pixel density). The phone weighs only 144g and has dimensions of 139.3 x 69.4 x 8.5 mm. Therefore, there should not be any problem in using the phone. The phone has IPS LCD capacitive touch screen with 16M colors which is a multi touch. Although the screen’s protection is to be confirmed yet. The phone will be available in three colors: black, silver and gold. So both the sexes can choose the color whichever they like. The phone comes with dual SIM slots (although one slot doubles as the MicroSD card tray). Talking about the software configuration, Xiaomi Redmi 3 runs on latest Android OS, v5.1 Lollipop version. It includes the chipset of Snapdragon 616 with Octa-core processor, Cortex-A53 with 1.5 GHz. It also includes Adreno 405.

Xiaomi has always impressed the buyers with its camera quality. The phone has 13 MP of primary camera and 5 MP of selfie camera with phase-detection autofocus and LED flash technology. It also includes the features such as geo-tagging, touch focus, face/smile detection, HDR etc. The camera has a great detailing and captures good quality photos.

Xiaomi Redmi 3 is powered by Li-Ion 4100 mAh battery backup. It can run 74 hours which means you can expect the battery to last 3 full days if you do an hour each of browsing the web, calling and video play back a day. The Xiaomi Redmi 3 did well across all tests: video playback, web browsing, and it posted above average scores on standby, which makes it a great  performer.

The Xiaomi Redmi 3 supports Bluetooth v4.0, A-GPS and GLONASS, BDS, microUSB v2.0, yet the availability of an FM radio is to be confirmed. The rest of the connectivity features include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n support and hotspot. The phone also includes the sensory features as accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, etc.
