Now when they are free from troubles, Kodak decided to take back the crown and announced their first ever DSLR-like Smartphone in December 2016 namely KODAK EKTRA.
KODAK EKTRA was launched in Europe December itself at cost of EUR 499.

•Deca core processor which comprises of 2.3 GHz, Dual core, Cortex A72 + 2 GHz, Quad core, Cortex A53 + 1.4 GHz, Quad core, Cortex A53. The chipset is of MediaTek with 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM expandable up to 128GB. The phone runs on android 6.0 Marshmallow.
•The display size is 5.0 inch with screen resolution up to 1080 x 1920 pixels & pixel density is 441. The screen is protected with corning’s gorilla glass.
•The key feature of the device is its camera. (of course expected!! As manufactures are photography kings…) KODAK EKTRA’s primary camera is 21 megapixels and secondary camera is 13 megapixels with phase detection auto focus, digital zoom, auto flash. The image resolution is up to 5288 x 3968 pixels. The phone also enables high dynamic range captures and CMOS sensor. Built perfect for photography.
• The phone has 300 mAh Li-On battery and supports 4g bands and expected to be available at the price of INR 36,590.
