The Chinese company ‘Gionee’ which was established in 2002 has launched a new smart phone – Gionee Marathon M5. In pre-smartphone era, battery life was never a problem. But now it has become a major concern as we have become slaves to smart phones. The best way to get more battery life is to increase capacity and size, which is exactly what Gionee company has been doing with its Marathon series. The phone has an AMOLED capacitive touch screen with 16 M colors display screen of 5.50 inches which is powered by Media nhtek MT6735 chipset. Gionee Marathon M5 comes with dual SIM slots. So that the users can operate two contacts on one phone. The phone also possesses sensing features as accelerometer, proximity and compass. The biggest advantage of the phone is its long lasting battery life which is Non-removable Li-Po 6020 mAh battery with standard talk time up to 68 hours. So now the users are not required to carry power banks with themselves.
The phone is available in different color tones to provide the users with variety of choice: White, Black, and Gold. The phone is priced at Rs. 18,000 INR. It also includes the connectivity features such as Wi-Fi Direct, hotspot, Bluetooth, GPS, Infrared port and USB plus an FM radio. The phone also supports Dual-LTE 4G on both the SIMs for most bands, including Band 40.
At last we feel that Gionee could have built with a Full-HD screen for its better performance otherwise the Gionee Marathon M5 is a good choice for having a smart phone.
