SO, after a long wait for Redmi’s upcoming phone, the company has finally launched the two new phones in the note series and they are Redmi note 5 and redmi note 5 pro. There was a huge popularity for the note series phones since Xiaomi launched their first note 3 in India. So, this time Xiaomi has come up with new plus refreshed note 5 and 5 pro. The company is saying that there is a huge improvement in camera this time because this was one of the cons that Xiaomi phone had. So, let’s jump over and discuss about the redmi note 5 first.
Redmi note 5 specs
Redmi note 5 comes with a whopping 5.99 full HD bezel less display. This display comes with 18:9 aspect ratio which is a kind of trend now for all smartphones to have. The screen has 1080X2160 pixels with 403 ppi. The weight of the phone is about 181 grams. Talking about its software the phones comes with Xiaomi’s latest MIUI 9 platform with Android 7.1.1 on top. Sadly there’s no Oreo update for this phone. The phone is packed with same Snapdragon 625 processor which was also used in the redmi note 4. So, no major upgrade in terms of the processor and hardware.

Now this is the talk of the town the all new redmi note 5 pro. As the name suggest its specs are really great. So let’s quickly jump to the specs. The design is same as redmi note 5 there’s no major difference between the two only it packs a dual camera at the rear. The weight of the phone is also same as 181 grams with same 4000 mAh battery. Also it’s display comes with Coring gorilla glass protection. The highlighting feature of the phone is its camera. The front camera of the phone comes with whopping 20 MP Sony sensors with single LED flash. The phone’s front camera is also capable of doing portrait mode by using software inside the camera. The primary camera of the phone comes with dual 12 MP(f/2/2, 1.25 um) + 5 MP 9f/2.0, 1.12 um. The back camera of the phone is also capable of taking portrait shots with dual rear cameras.
Talking about its hardware the phone comes with in two variants one with 4GB+64GB and other one comes with 6GB+64GB of internal storage. The phone runs on same Android 7.1.1. There’s a major change in the processor now the phone comes with all new Qualcomm SDM636 Snapdragon 636 with Adreno 509. The Xiaomi says it will boost the phone’s performance by 40%. SO, the pricing of the phone. The base variant of the phone is priced at 13, 999 INR. And the top end model is priced at 16, 999 INR.
